Men in the HBA?

The Healthcare Women’s Business Association by default, has always been an organization that is predominately female based. This organization is about “leadership development of women in healthcare worldwide.” Recently, the HBA has been gaining support from an unlikely source…men. Why are men becoming involved in this organization?

In a recent article in HBAdavantage a few men within HBA’s organization were highlighted and asked why they feel drawn to participate. Miles Printing is proud to say our own Lynn Kendall was one of the men highlighted in the article as well as one of the men participating in the HBA. Lynn feels the HBA has helped him grow professionally. Lynn says, “As I see it, the HBA culture is focused on three things: personal development, professional growth, and community.” Lynn feels like HBA has helped him grow in all three of these areas.

To the men involved in the HBA, it has been about being part of something more than just being in a “women’s organization” They feel welcome. Lynn states, “We are all here for the same reasons and that’s the common bond. I would highly recommend membership to any business professional -regardless of gender.”
