With all of the fun things getting ready to happen in downtown Indianapolis for the Super Bowl, getting lost shouldn’t be your worry. Good thing Miles has printed a map full of fun things and schedules of the happenings of downtown Indianapolis from Friday January 27th to Sunday February 5th.

The map features all of Super Bowl Village with detailed directions of where to go, park, and where all of the events are placed. There is also a concert schedule outlined with performers, times, and stages! Along with the concerts are the details for events such as the Taste of the NFL, Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam, Super Bowl Stadium tours and much more.

Know where to go for this once in a lifetime chance to see all of the Super Bowl action thanks to the Super Bowl Host Committee.

Have a super fun and safe experience!

The countdown to the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl has begun and the preparations are heating up. Miles Printing is participating in the Super Scarves program as a way to provide a warm “thank you” for the 8,000 volunteers who will be participating in the 2012 Super Bowl.

Miles Printing recently issued a challenge to staff members interested in knitting, crocheting or weaving blue and white scarves for Super Bowl volunteers:  knit, crochet or weave as many scarves as you can – even enlisting the help of friends and family. Challenge participants received Super Bowl Host Committee apparel and the staff member who brought in the most scarves won an exciting grand prize. As an added bonus, Miles Printing provided the yarn for each scarf.   We value our staff members’ skills and we take great pride in Indiana by supporting the 2012 Super Bowl in this fun way!

Congratulations to all the participants who were able to produce 21 scarves in just over 3 weeks!  A big congrats goes to Rosalina Muro who won the contest by knitting 9 scarves!

Each year the Indianapolis Business Journal recognizes Central Indiana Women who represent traits that make them stand out leaders in their fields of business. The overall goal of IBJ’s “Women of Influence” is to highlight Indianapolis’ most successful women in both private and public sectors and how they have overcome triumphs and challenges to shape the careers they have today. Miles Printing is a certified 100% Women’s Business Enterprise, and we have a great respect for these 17 women who are honored this year. We appreciate what they have done to pave the way for other women.

One of the women honored this year is Myra Borshoff Cook. She is the founder of Borshoff which is a Public Relations agency in Indianapolis. Her goal wasn’t to own a business but she took the opportunities that were given to her and pursued them. She now employs 56 people and her clients include some of the biggest businesses in Indianapolis such as Eli Lilly, the Indianapolis Colts, and IPL. She was also the first woman to be inducted into the Public Relations Society of America College of Fellows and has entered the Junior Achievement Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame.

Miles Printing would like to congratulate Myra Borshoff Cook, you are an asset to Indianapolis. We are grateful for everything you have done for the community as well as leading the way for other women in your industry.

HBA Indiana Presents: How Women Should Prepare Themselves for Leadership – October 11, 2011

Event Details:

Jennifer Browning Holmes shares tips and strategies for promoting and cultivating diverse leadership teams to gain the most impact at your organization. Jennifer’s mission is to promote a dialogue and support networking among women, further their career advancement and professional development, and help fuel the continued growth of women’s initiatives.

An open, inclusive, and flexible culture empowers women leaders to take ownership and control of their lives and careers. Women’s initiatives are flourishing as corporations now see the value of supporting them. Such initiatives enable talent-starved companies to enhance recruiting and retain high potential women leaders to build diverse leadership teams. While networking programs help women gain new skills, connections and visibility, strong women’s initiatives should go beyond networking to draw in clients as well. These initiatives should help identify and seek to diminish the barriers that inhibit a culture of inclusion, such as a shortage of role models and mentors. Women’s initiatives should oversee hiring, development and advancement, retention, and culture initiatives throughout any organization.

Indiana Life Sciences Collaboration Series - The “Consumerization” of Medical Product Marketing

The first conference in the series is quickly approaching!  The conference takes place on September 23, 2011 at Indianapolis- IU School of Medicine, Walther Hall (Research Building III) Auditorium.

Overview

Even as healthcare policy reform debates continue, seismic shifts in how life sciences companies interact with consumers have begun occurring. Patients are more involved in their own care path than ever before, relying on direct to consumer advertising, the Internet and social media for answers long before they ever see a physician. Traditional medical technology and life science products seem to be converging with consumer electronics, IT, and telecommunications devices that consumers already own. Medical devices are now expected to connect to smartphones and home wireless hubs, while drug companies provide smartphone apps and intelligent pill bottles to their patients to help improve patient medication adherence.

What do these changes mean for life sciences companies? How should products be marketed when marketing is becoming interactive? Are patients able to make risk-informed decisions? What are the regulatory challenges and are the regulators adapting quickly enough? How should companies adapt to a paradigm in which consumers have more influence and control over the products used in their care? Keynote speakers and panelists will explore these questions and engage participants in a wide-ranging discussion of where these trends could lead.

Speakers and Panelists Include:

  • Anthony Delli Colli, Vice President of Marketing, Elbrys Networks
  • Dena Cox, Ph.D., Professor of Marketing and Faculty Fellow,Indiana University, Kelley School of Business – Indianapolis
  • Anthony D. Cox, Ph.D., Professor of Marketing and Faculty Fellow Indiana University, Kelley School of Business – Indianapolis
